Since the U. S. Secret Service and then Director H Stuart Knight lead the very first National Law Enforcement Explorer Conference at his Alma Mater, Michigan State University, Lansing Michigan in August 1979 the USSS Visual Information Branch incorporated the Service Star into the conference logo. The Exploring organization kept the logo for all subsequent conferences until the last one in 2018 at Purdue University.
