4/19/05: Timothy McVeigh, an American domestic terrorist, was responsible for the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing that killed 168 people, 19 of whom were children, injured more than 680 others, and destroyed one-third of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building.

McVeigh was executed by lethal injection at 7:14 a.m. on June 11, 2001 at US Penitentiary Terre Haute, IN.
