The unit was formed as Customs Radar Operations Control Center in 1983. The Center was renamed Domestic Air Interdiction Coordination Center (DAICC) in 1994 and Air & Marine Interdiction Coordination Center (AMICC) in 1999 only to get its present name in 2003, Air and Marine Operations Center (AMOC).
